Occultism: What is the occult?
The Occult is usually attributed to “knowledge of the hidden” or “secret knowledge”. The Occult is a broad term that usually includes “various theories and/or practices involving the belief in and knowledge or use of supernatural forces or beings” (christianity.com). Merriam-Webster dictionary gives synonyms for the word Occult as “Concealed” or “Hidden”. So, in other words, the Occult/ or cults are Organizations each with their theories of supernatural forces and mystical practices that claim hidden or secret knowledge. Many times the organization has a level of secrecy itself including having its members swear secrecy. The Bible explicitly states that all acts of divination are an abomination to the MOST HIGH GOD. “And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.” 2 Kings 21:6 (KJV)These occults seek supernatural knowledge by which they use witchcraft rituals to speak and learn for theses demonic beings.
How does the occult infiltrate the Media?
Viewers or listeners can identify occultism by addressing the purpose, and message of the media. And also by identifying the markers or symbols of the enemy. Many faces of the media are involved in occult practices or blatant witchcraft. Another term for Occults is “Secret Societies”. But why would our favorite stars be involved in the occult?
Remember “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” - Ephesians 6:12 (KJV). Remember also the devil's tactics of promising Fame, power, or even riches. All of which the Most High has not promised his children. Here are just a few of the famous secret societies:

Symbolism: why the devil works through symbolism.
Symbols and Signs are identifiable markers for a thing. For true Believers of the MOST HIGH we are instructed in Exodus 20:4 “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:” This means that we are not to make idols, images, or other gods according to the scripture. In knowing that the Devil does the polar opposite of righteousness, the pagan world is filled with such imagery as markers of the satanic.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” - 1 John 4:1 (KJV)
We as believers must assess by the product of the demonic and not the pretty faces it tries to disguise itself to be. We must try the spirit, “For every tree is known by its own fruit.” - Luke 6:44 (KJV).

Gestures of the Demonic
Many workers of the occult not only identify themselves by material symbols such as a flag, ring, necklace, or pin. But, they also identify with their demonic occult through Physical gestures and signs. Some of the more infamous ones include the “peace sign” or the “devil horns” ( which is also the rock symbol). Another one is the “okay” Symbol which is a reference to the Mark of the best - 666. These gestures identify their affiliates with the specific occult or ideal of it.
How does the occult tie to rebellion? - A repeat of the original sin.
In the garden of Eden, the Most high gave 1 rule. Do not eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen 2:17). However, Eve was beguiled by the snake and humanity subsequently fell into sin after the actions of Adam and his wife Eve. But what convinced Eve to initial rebellion against the commands of the MOST HIGH? It was the promise to be like GODS and to have KNOWLEDGE of GOOD AND EVIL. Which is none other than the Occults, witches, and secret societies promise, godly or supernatural powers, and secret knowledge.
