What is a Spiritual Stronghold?
Spiritual strongholds are conflicts, stances, and ideas opposed to the Most High's (God's) intentions. These mental patterns are based on what we know and believe and inevitably shape our actions. The Bible uses the term to describe harmful thought patterns, arrogant attitudes, or messages from the outside world that have left a lasting impression on Christians' minds and hearts. Over time, these beliefs can become strongholds in the spiritual realm that people need to destroy using the truth of the Most High's (God's) Word.
Satan and his minions want to capture the minds of people: the mind is the citadel of the soul.
He who controls the mind controls a very strategic place! Romans 8:5-6:
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.
If you want the abundant life and peace that Yahshua promised,
you must let his Spirit capture the stronghold up there!
Not only is our conscious mind the target:
Proverbs 23:7 says, "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he."
In Matt 12:34-35, Yahshua said,
For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.
THE MOST HIGH IS OUR STRONGHOLD THAT DESTROYS STRONGHOLDS
Psalms 9:9- 11
9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. 10 Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. 11 Sing the praises of the LORD, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done.
STRONGHOLD SCRIPTURES
Ezekiel 33:27 “Say this to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: As surely as I live, those who are left in the ruins will fall by the sword, those out in the country I will give to the wild animals to be devoured, and those in strongholds and caves will die of a plague.
Ezekiel 24:21 Say to the people of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am about to desecrate my sanctuary—the stronghold in which you take pride, the delight of your eyes, the object of your affection.
