We are celebrating The Most High "HOLY DAYS", and being obedient to his WORD.
Buttafleye Ministry has been in the practice of celebrating The Most High - Holy days and it is very rewarding. It has been over 200 years and Israel is waking up, to who they are. The curse is at its end and we are free to be obedient to Yahweh's word, laws, and commandments, which include his Holy days. We must be obedient and learn how through his word. Celebrate with Israel.
Shavuot 2020 (a two-day holiday, celebrated from sunset on May 28 until nightfall on May 30) coincides with the date that, The Most High gave the Torah to his people "Israel" at Mount Sinai more than 3,300 years ago. It comes after 49 days of eager counting, as we prepared ourselves for this special day.
We are Israel, a people aspiring to holiness, singled out through our ancient covenant and our unique history among the nations to be witnesses to God's (The Most High's) presence. We must celebrate his holy days because he said this is to be celebrated forever.
HOW TO CELEBRATE SHAVUOT
It is celebrated by lighting candles, staying up all night to learn Torah, hearing the reading of the Ten Commandments, feasting on dairy foods, and more.
Some members and ministers at Buttafleye Ministry may substitute vegan cheese and milk for this celebration. Also, we substitute the meat with vegan meat or fish.
SHAVUOT MORNING
On Shavuot morning, 3,332 years ago, Heaven kissed Earth, and The Most High communicated the 10 Commandments upon Mount Sinai. Every year we believe that experience when we stay up all night and then read of this event from the Torah during Shavuot morning .
STAY AWAKE AND STUDY THE WORD ( Old Testament)
This year, many of us will be studying, reading, and celebrating ourselves, as our own living spaces have become our places of worship.
It is customary to remain awake for the entire first night of Shavuot, studying a text known as Tikkun Leil Shavuot. Those unable to read this text traditionally learn other Torah subjects or attend classes.
This year, many of us will be alone on Shavuot night to study and celebrate. We have attached a how-to guides, study texts, inspiring essays, a kids party, and more, to help you make this the best Shavuot ever!
