Reading Scope (daily reading sample)
The Most High God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. -Genesis 1:27
Reflect (reflect on your reading and meditate on it)
In the Psalms selection today we read: “But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
What occupies your thoughts day and night? It's easy to dwell on our concerns and uncertainties. However, if we decide to concentrate on life's best aspects, especially the Most High's love for us and His positive promises, we can resemble these trees. Nourished, watered, and supported, we become fruitful in due time and enjoy enduring Shalom, holistic prosperity.
Thoughts (give your thoughts)
It’s important, therefore - vitally important - to guard our hearts. What “guarding your heart” looks like for each person is different. For me, I’ve taken a step back from watching the news headlines because it causes me to focus too much on things I can’t control (fear), lessening my focus on the things I can control and have the opportunity to produce.
