Psalm 145.4: One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.
BISHOP HOLCOMB
Bishop Holcomb was born and raised in Philadelphia and moved with his family to Los Angeles in the late 70's where just before he gave his life to the ministry, he had a "very promising and lucrative recording contract with Motown Records" according to the church's website.
Holcomb walked away from that commitment to join the Army and would later be stationed at Fort Hood in 1980 where he began to grow the roots of his ministry. His ministry grew from 13 members in a storefront in Copperas Cove to one of the largest ministries in Central Texas with over 2000 members spanning the U.S. and Europe as well as community organizations like The Refuge Corporation and Camp Victory.
Bishop Holcomb is survived by his wife Pastor Valerie Holcomb, their 4 children and 10 grand children. Funeral arrangements have not been announced at the time of this article.
The MyKiss1031 and Townsquare Media Killeen-Temple family sends our heartfelt condolences to the Holcomb family and all of the members of CHOP.
